Today Altia announces DeepScreen graphics code running on the MediaTek MT2715 system-on-chip (SoC). This combination of Altia and MediaTek technologies will serve global automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers designing automotive cockpit applications for production vehicles.

The MT2715 is the newest generation SoC from MediaTek—which replaces the company’s Autus I20 (MT2712). The MT2715 features higher CPU and GPU computing power than the previous generation to support 6K display resolution and rich applications across multiple displays for automotive integrated cockpit systems.

Altia’s advanced embedded HMI editor and graphics code generators are exceptionally suited for high power hardware like the MediaTek MT2715 SoC. The Altia tool suite enables designers and engineers to create powerful advanced displays with a streamlined, state-of-the-art workflow. Altia software allows for quick, easy iterations of dynamic, integrated 2D and 3D graphics for clusters, head-up displays, infotainment systems and full integrated cockpit applications. Leveraging Altia as a single tool for all cockpit displays, design teams can create a truly unified user experience across various display. Altia DeepScreen software solutions are architected to take advantage of the full array of features on chip to deliver high performance, production-ready C code.

“Altia and MediaTek have each enjoyed long success in driving advanced graphics for consumer electronics. We are extremely pleased to bring our technologies together on the MT2715 platform with a focus on next generation HMIs for automotive cockpit displays. We are currently working with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers on their most demanding UI challenges—and we are poised to solve these challenges with our potent combination of hardware and software solutions,” stated Mike Chang, VP of Computing, Connectivity & MetaVerse Group.

“We are proud to be the first HMI graphics supplier to provide graphics code for MediaTek’s new SoC. With the powerful feature set available on the MediaTek MT2715 and Altia’s production-proven user interface software, automakers will be able to design and deploy an integrated cockpit with multiple operating systems, including Android, and maintain a truly branded look and feel across every screen in the car,” stated Michael Hill, Altia Vice President of Engineering.
